Like anything that Lisa B. Kamps writes, Playing It Up is nothing short of amazing. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and the storyline. She definitely didn’t disappoint with these characters. If you’ve read her books, then you know that even though they’re “part” of a series, this can be read as a stand-alone, if you’d like.
he chemistry that is explored within Haley and Zach is one that I thoroughly enjoyed!
We meet Haley Addison is the type of independent girl that I absolutely love reading about. She tries to take care of things on her own, and doesn’t seem to put up with crap from anyone. That is until something from her past catches up to her.
We also meet Zach Mummert – who happens to be a Hockey player for the York Bombers. Let me tell you, I’m not a die-hard fan of hockey, but absolutely loved his character – even though he was a total player! He always got anything and anyone that he wanted – until he met Haley. And even though there seemed to be a chemistry there between them, she didn’t want to give in.
The journey that these two characters take is an interesting one. They both have to learn to trust and rely on each other in order to move forward! I definitely considered this book a 5 Stars!!
