Willow's Cry was my first read by Beverly Ovalle. I was pleasantly surprised with what this book, story and author had to offer me.

I have to say that I didn't expect the outcome of the story line. I definitely enjoyed the romance aspect of this book, and the way in which the author developed it. She did a great job with her characters, and the way in which they were. I don't normally read books with nymphs in it, so this one was a first for me. But I have to say that I was surprised with how likable the characters were. Not just the nymphs – Willow in particular, but the Humans – Alex as well. He was most certainly an individual that will stick with you.

The characters, and their relationships were something that I enjoyed. I would consider this book to be a 4 Star Review – and would definitely consider reading more books by this author.

Blossoming Flower by Vivian Winslow

I recently came across Blossoming Flower by Vivian Winslow – and let me tell you, I absolutely adored everything about this book.

We get to meet Flor de Lima – a young woman who has lost everything she owns because of the dealings that her father is involved in. We learn that he is – or use to be a multi-billionaire. She has to learn how to relive her life. Without having to depend on her father or her mother – who seems to be good for nothing.

In the process of reinventing herself and figuring what she’s going to do with her life, she lands a summer job at a ranch. Which is ideal for her, seeing as she wants to become an equestrian veterinarian. Everything about the ranch calls to her. From the name, which happens to be “Belo Horizonte”, pronounced in her native Brazilian - which translates to ‘beautiful horizon’ in English.

What she doesn’t know is the secrets that surround the ranch, and how it involves her and her future.

I loved everything about this book. Genuinely loved it. I fell in love with Flor. She was a beautifully written character, one that I could relate to. And that is because she was well written and developed. And as for Collin Taylor, the intriguing young horse trainer – I loved the mystery with which he was originally introduced. The chemistry that these 2 shared was absolutely what I needed.

I enjoyed everything about this world. I was so enthralled with the world that Vivian created, that I felt like I was actually living in it. I absolutely consider this book a 5 Star Book Review. I’m excited to delve into the other books that this author has to offer and can’t wait to see what else I can enjoy.

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson

Murder Among Friends by Linda Burson was my first reading experience by this author. I have to say that it wasn't what I expected but was surprised by the outcome.

The story begins with Camille Thurston having had it with life in general, and all of the experiences that she's had. She was dealt a hard hand with work, life and her career and decides to take a break. While on her "vacation" - staying with her brother and his family, an unfortunate event transpires. And being the person that she is, she becomes involved.

What happens with this book is an interesting journey. Like I said in the beginning, it was an unexpected surprise. Needless to say, that I considered this to be a 4 Star book.

Arrogant Fiance by T.L. Smith and Melissa Jane

Arrogant Fiancé by T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane has most certainly taken me on one hell of a roller coaster.

This was my first book experience by these authors, and let's just say that I wasn't disappointed. I'm not sure what I actually expected, but what I got out of them, was more than I thought possible.

We get to meet the beautiful and independent Britta Valentino, who is still trying to recover from a heart break - and one of the worst ones. Now, months later, we find out that she's been invited to her ex-boyfriends' wedding and is expected to attend.

Enter - Hawk Carnage, Britt's sexy hot boss, and longtime family friend. Britt decides that she'll be attending the wedding, with a "fiancé" - who just happens to be Hawk.

I was actually pleased at how much I enjoyed this story. I definitely enjoyed the characters, from Britt & Hawk, to her brothers and their wonderful relationship. I felt like every character added to this story. I caught myself laughing at a lot of the antics that Britt put herself and others through. I caught myself shocked by some of the events that transpired, and what they would mean for certain characters. I felt heartbroken when certain individuals were betrayed. I felt elated when certain circumstances were able to work themselves out. So, you can see, why I would feel like I was riding a rollercoaster.

I've always enjoyed reading a dual POV book, and this one didn't disappoint. I felt like I was able to follow along just fine. I most definitely enjoyed the journey that the main characters took. I would consider this to be a 5 star book!

The Long Road to Serenity by M.L. Garcia

It's been a long time since I've read something sweet and precious. Something that I can hold dear and close to my heart. But I finally read The Long Road to Serenity by M.L. Garcia. This was my first experience with this author, and let's just say that she did not disappoint me.

We get to meet two beautiful souls – Astraea Salvo and Gabriel Varon. Two souls that meet as young little children and strike a friendship. A friendship that is nurtured throughout the years, regardless of the distance. A friendship that grows and turns into something else – more and beautiful.

I think that books like these are something that I crave – because of the wounding and healing that they offer a reader. The journey that these two go through is one riddled with trials and tragedies. But it's those trials that make a person strong. And if you have someone there with you, that has experienced tragedies – although not the same – it creates an even deeper and stronger bond.

I have to say that the author did an incredible job of building a beautiful world, with characters that fit right in. Characters that grow and mature beautifully.

I think this book hit me more than what I expected – because it deals with real life situations and struggles. Situations where I've seen firsthand (with my own loved ones). I don’t often get too personal when I review a book, but sometimes – when a book deeply touches me, I can't help but get personal. I, myself suffer from PTSD – and no, I didn’t serve in the military. But I can honestly say that I know exactly what those struggles are like.

Anyways, I was amazed at how beautifully this book was written. At how much care and thought the author had put into creating and gifting these characters, their lives, trials, tribulations and success to us – the readers. I love traveling those journeys with the characters and seeing where they go, and how they got there.

I definitely consider this book a 5-star review. I can't wait to dive back into this style of writing and see what else there is to be offered.

Blood Heart by Lexi C. Foss

Blood Heart of the Immortal Curse series was my first experience by Lexi C. Foss. Let's just say that I was hooked from the first moment. I was hooked enough that I went back and read the first and second book in this series. Enough that I could say Lexi C. Foss has gained a fan.

For those that know me, know that I love reading Paranormal – anything and everything. There is a thrill in knowing that there are creative people that can bring a world into life and make you feel like you're a part of it
- make you feel different emotions all at once.

In this book, we get to meet Lizzie and experience all that she is while meeting Jayson (an Elder) for the very first time. What transpires after this is nothing short of a good cocktail found in the Paranormal world – the tension, passion and did I mention the tension that leads to good and amazing chemistry. I love taking the journey with the characters and seeing how they grow and develop into something more – and together.

I love experiencing new authors and seeing what they can offer me as a reader. What impressed me about the author is her ability to create great character development – one that can stand on its own, as well as building a world that will fit with the characters (and vice versa). It's because of this – as well as the storyline, that I give this book a 4.5. If you haven't experienced Lexi C. Foss, then what are you waiting for? I'm anxious to read the next book in the series.
