Virtue of Death by Randi Perrin

Have I ever told you how much I love reading Paranormal? No? Well, let me tell you that it's one of my most favorite genres. When the opportunity came to read Virtue of Death by Randi Perrin, I was more than ecstatic to pick it up and read it.

We meet Sera, who was chosen to become an Angel of Death when she turned 18. We also get an opportunity to see what she does as an Angel of Death, and how merciful and beautiful she is. She's also a Pastry Chef, who owns and operates her own bakery.

We also meet Destin at a wedding, while he's trying to pick up any girl to take home with him. It's there that he sees Sera for the first time, and tries hit on her. The fun part is that he's a food critic, who happens to give Sera a bad review, without knowing who she is.

What comes next is an adventure full of steamy tension, laughter and so much humor.

I love reading a book that will make me laugh so much, that my family thinks that I'm crazy! And this is exactly I got with it. I was able to loose myself within the book, storyline and characters. I have to say that the author did an amazing job in her character development. I've never red any  books by this author before, but am definitely excited to read more. What makes me even more giddy, is knowing that Cheryl (Sera's best friend) gets her own book. And I can't wait to get my hands on it!

This book was definitely 5 Heavenly Stars!!

Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe

Breaking the Cycle by Megan Lowe is one of those books that seem to hook and sink you right in.
We meet Bria when she’s getting ready to order her meal from Wheels (a local diner) owned by the Ryan boys. She immediately hits it off with Christian, who is an absolutely adorable little guy! We also meet Reed, who immediately falls for Bria while he’s her server (“helping” little Christian win over a pretty girl!). What we know about Reed is that he used to Race professionally, and due to some circumstances, he had to pull out. But he was an amazing racer.
I fell in love with the storyline and characters from the very beginning. I think that what I enjoyed the most is that there is immediate action (and in this case, brawling) from the get-go. The love story that we get is one that as a little girl, you always dream about having. I’m talking about the instant love, curl your toes, can’t live without; and not because you’re infatuated with that person. But because they truly and really are your best friend and soul mate.
I loved the relationship that we get from Bria and Reed. And although they have to go through this journey and struggle, they have found each other.
I love that Bria is immediately seen and handled as a member of the Ryan family, even though she only just recently met them. They make her feel safe and comfortable, like she’s belonged to them their/her whole life.
One of my favorite things about this book is that we get different POV’s which is always a WINNER for me. I like knowing what the other characters are thinking and feeling. I enjoyed Megan’s writing style, as I felt like I was living within the book. I felt an array of emotions, but what stood out the most was happiness and love. Megan has definitely won me over as a reader, and I look forward to continue my journey with the Rocking Racers Series. Definitely consider this a 5 Racing Stars!
